what i know

-the primary colors are red yellow and blue
-he secondary colors are orange green and purple
-you create secondary colors by mixing together the primary colors
-complimentary colors are the colors that are opposite from each other in the color wheel
-two ways to emphasize something is by varying the size or the location
-to create a shadow you mix the color of the object that you painted and complimentary color of the object
-to create the illusion of a highlight you would make the color of the object lighter
-if i wanted to make something look like it was far away i would make it smaller, and the colors would be cooler and and it would be lighter than the rest of the painting
- the steps to building a painting are sketching what you want, then you mix colors to start to get the colors that are needed. you can also add shadows and highlights
